Snowdrops, it's too late this year but you have to have snowdrops, if you haven't already of course.. I don't believe there is a more hopeful flower in existence during those long slow days that never seem to end in January and February. IMHO of course...
That looks like a well made apple peeler, most houses have them here but finding a good one is another matter! what a time saver they are though...
Yes! Snowdrops are a must, and I would have put some in this year but I wanted them under the hydrangeas which hadn’t yet been planted so……next year! They are indeed full of hope, but also spread themselves around so generously don’t they? Xx
This was so lovely to read (as always) and your mum looks absolutely lovely 😍 I hope her back is healing ok? Is now the right time for planting bulbs then? I'm useless in the garden 🙃 Could you recommend the easiest bulbs to plant now for Spring please 🙏 xx
Well, in my experience you needed be lured into rushing the bulb planting, I often forget until the last moment! Still, if you'd like to start with something easy then Paperwhite Narcissi are easily to have flowering for Christmas - they take pretty much 6 weeks. For spring tulips then November is good timing, 'though I've planted in December with no problems. One of my favourite tulips is La Belle Epoque... xx
What a beautiful picture of your Mum. She looks really well and glad you could enjoy that lovely walk together. May I suggest you take a look at Scamps bulbs? Grown in Cornwall by great friends of ours. I’m sure you could find some beauties for your garden. Xx. https://scampsbulbs.co.uk/
Love your photo of the tomatoes - haven't lost your feel for the light! And so happy to see you had such a successful walk with your Mum, who does indeed look top of the morning!
I'm beyond excited that we have a date in the diary for my visit to your 'country estate' ;-)
Oh Linda thank you! I’m so delighted that you read and enjoy them. Lori was so, so kind to me when we lived in Stockholm and I feel bad we kind of lost touch…. Please send her my love 😘xx
♥️ Please write a book, I never want these posts to end xx
Aww you’re too kind 🥰 xx

Thanks Eve, I always notice those happy shafts of sunlight even without the camera in my hands. As for our Halloween plans - I can’t wait! Xx
